Neolith® was the ideal surface to clad El Celler de Can Roca, which has been named the “World’s Best Restaurant” three times and has been awarded three Michelin stars.

For Joan, Josep and Jordi Roca (better known as the Roca brothers), attention to every last detail and the use of the best materials are fundamental issues as well as the double-sided driving force behind their characteristic culinary approach.

Their prestigious restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, located in Girona (Spain), has received excellent comments by critics due to its original outlook on gastronomy and inspiration in Spain’s rich culinary traditions.

For Joan Roca, the founding chef, all details are important when it comes to creating a culinary experience of worldwide prestige. These include everything from offering a relaxing and cozy atmosphere to using quality materials and artisan techniques in the restaurant design. This is one of their long-standing keys to success ever since it was founded back in 1986.

All-new sensations

Over the last 25 years, El Celler de Can Roca has had various looks, always in line with the trends of the times all while respecting tradition.

With each new spatial renovation, inspired by the awarding of their first Michelin star (1995), then the second (2002) and finally, the third, (2009), the facilities have been improved and the distribution re-arranged.

After being named The World’s Best Restaurant in 2013 and 2015, as well as Best of the Best in 2019, we felt it was time for another change after an entire decade. That was when we found Neolith.

For the kitchen Pierre Bleue was used while Mont Blanc was the model chosen to clad the walls of the R&D Lab.

Hygienically, it’s essential for all surfaces in a kitchen to be hermetic and well-assembled so there are no seams.
