mountain architecture of the Pyrenees<\/h2>\n

Come inside this unique home, a mountain refuge. At 1200 m in altitude, Casa NAAN is located in one of the most privileged areas of Andorra.<\/p>\n

The owner, Anna Noguera, commissioned architect <\/span>Enric Dilm\u00e9<\/a>, to build a very unique home that would match the family\u2019s lifestyle.<\/p>\n

Intuitive orientation<\/h2>\n

The result was the construction of a 2000 m2<\/sup>, rhorizontal building, distributed in three volumes, and a 1500 m2<\/sup> <\/span>garden with a key orientation<\/p>\n

The middle floor in the home on the garden level features the living room, kitchen and a guest bedroom. Plus, there\u2019s an indoor swimming pool at the back leading to a lovely English patio.<\/p>\n

The top floor features the entrance door, four bedrooms with full bathrooms and dressing rooms, a game room and a large parking area. Both floors are connected via a monumental staircase. The lower underground floor is where the owners enjoy their pool and cellar.<\/p>\n

Black and white minimalism<\/h2>\n

With a new vision of residential architecture, Dilm\u00e9 and the owners wanted to move away from the country look of the other buildings in the area, <\/span>designing a home with straight, pure lines<\/strong>. Neolith\u00ae turned out to be a great choice for achieving this result.<\/p>\n

They chose <\/span>pure colors<\/strong>, playing with tones ranging from white to black and combining the white concrete of the roofs, cantilevers and balconies <\/span>Neolith\u00ae <\/span>Basalt Black<\/a> <\/span>de 3.200 x 1.500 mm<\/strong>, for the main volume as well as the floors, stairs and indoor walls. The <\/span>Basalt Grey<\/strong><\/a> <\/span>model in the same format was used for the side volumes of the home.<\/p>\n

The large Neolith format makes it possible to reduce seams and create share and minimalist volumes. The Basalt model gets the desired stone paneling look all while giving you the possibility to combine the two versions.<\/p>\n

This fail-proof design choice comes together to create an impeccable esthetic that contrasts with the dark kitchen furnishings covered in <\/span>Basalt Black<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

While Neolith\u00ae <\/span>Neolith\u00ae <\/span>Aspen Grey<\/a><\/strong> <\/span>is the main model in the wine cellar. The large matte grey table adds character and enhances this incredibly special space where you will enjoy and savor good wines.<\/p>\n

The <\/span>versatility of a material like Sintered Stone<\/strong>, was a great addition to harmoniously tie together all the different rooms.<\/p>\n

The spectacular terrace is a clear example of this versatility as Neolith\u00ae is found on the floors, walls and stairs throughout for an esthetically continuous look.<\/p>\n

In order for this very special place in the house to be perfect for relaxing, it had to require minimal maintenance. Particularly in an area where the summers are short and the winters are long and freezing cold, materials suitable to the changes in weather were required just like Neolith\u00ae which is <\/span>100% natural<\/strong>, natural with a color natural with a color that does <\/span>not fade with sun exposure or extreme temperatures<\/strong>. It is also doesn\u2019t show any damage due to low temperatures and is <\/span>impermeable<\/strong> <\/span>and resistant to liquids.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a home right in the heart of the Madriu Valley with views of Escaldes, Andorra la Vella and Santa Coloma that reflects modernity in accordance with this country\u2019s landscape<\/p>\n
