With turnover of more than 300 million euros in 2013 and a total of 811 beds, the hospital has been constantly developing ever since the building renovations began. Architect Gunther Herrijgers from the architecture studio Architectengroep A4 was contracted to design a hospital that would fulfill a comprehensive medical care strategy that would adapt to today\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n
To rejuvenate the look of the hospital, the key was responding to the questions raised by the Board. <\/span>\u201cHow do we see ourselves in the future?\u201d and \u201cWhat will our future needs be?\u201d <\/em>, were some of the questions answered by Herrijgers (the architect for the project) in stating <\/span>\u201cA design with clean lines, a solid and integrated structure and strong resistance in the building cores.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Neolith was no doubt the best option for its construction as it is highly resistant material. It\u2019s a mixed hidden profile system that not only guarantees an impeccable look but also easy removal and replacement of the material whenever necessary.<\/p>\n As far as the models used in the building, a combination of colors like Phedra and the Basalt line in the Neolith Fusion Collection were chosen to give the 15,000 m2 designed spaces character and uniqueness.<\/p>\n According to the architect Herrijgers, <\/span>\u201cArchitectengroep A4 is an architecture studio that specializes in public projects in the field of healthcare.
